George Andrew Jordan Jr., 89, of Woodland passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home.
He was born on October 24, 1933 in Woodland, a son of the late George and Genevieve (Maines) Jordan.
George was the owner of Jordan's Gas and Grocery, as well as Jordan Trucking.
He is survived by three children Drew Jordan (Michele) of Reedsville, Mike Jordan (Linda) of St. Johns, MI, and Beth Ann Nordberg (Tom) of Beaver, WV; eight grandchildren, Terry Jordan, Dr. Erin Jordan, Andy Jordan, Audrey Jo Jordan, Megan Jordan, Paris Jordan, Jeana Mitterling (Brian), and Jordan Sedgwick (Steve); and four great-grandchildren, Brooke Jackson (Jon), Trey Jordan, Milly Sedgwick, and Maxwell Sedgwick; a great-great grandchild, Sylvie Grace Jackson; and four siblings, Audrey Hunt, Lequitta Casher, Terry 'Butch' Jordan, and Bonnie Jordan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth J. (English) Jordan on February 19, 2021 and whom he wed November 9, 1951. He was also preceded in death by five siblings, Donald Jordan, Edna (Jordan) Bell, Jerry Jordan, and an infant brother and sister.
Honoring Mr. Jordan's wishes, there will be no public services. Interment will be in the Bigler Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the choice of the donor.
