Glenn G. Bloom, 85

3548 Greenville Pike, Grampian died on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at his residence.

He was born on October 27, 1918 in Bloom Township, a son of the late Wilbur H. and Emma Sarah (Thomas) Bloom.

Mr. Bloom retired in 1984 after forty-two years of service with Merck Sharp and Dome Medical Research Lab where he worked in pharmaceutical production as a chemical operator.
He served as Chairman of YMCA International, a past board member of the YMCA in New Jersey and was a member of the Greenville Church of the Brethren.
He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He is survived by a brother and sister
Galen F. Bloom and wife Helen Grampian
Lorna Fern Feveryear and husband Charles Bel Air, MD

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Phyllis Vargo.

Funeral services will be held at the Greenville Church of the Brethren on Saturday at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Dale E. Rummel officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenville Cemetery, RD#1, Grampian.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Friday
from 2-5 & 7-9 PM and on Saturday at Greenville Church of the Brethren from Noon-2:00 PM
