Glenn Williams

Glenn O. Williams, 79 of Olanta died on Friday, September 23, 2005 at DuBois Regional Medical Center - West.

He was born on January 18, 1926 in Clearfield, a son of the late David B. and Cathryn (Hitchings) Williams.

Mr. Williams was a plumber for the Pipefitters Union and was a part-time farmer.
He attended the Primitive Methodist Church, Glen Richey and was a member of the Susquehanna CB Club and the Campers and Hikers Association.
He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Jean (Mulhollan)Williams, four children, Kathleen Marie Conklin of Clearfield, Robert Glenn Williams and wife Becky of Jeanette, Steven Wayne Williams and wife Sandy of Spring Valley, Donald Lee Williams and wife Norma J. of Olanta, two step-children, James Welker and wife Bernice of Shiloh, Earnest Welker and wife Mona of Shiloh, sisters and brothers, Judy Lumadue of NY, Betty Lansberry and husband Al of Bigler, Burton Williams and wife Dorothy of OH, Irene Knepp and husband Bob of PA and Traczyk Williams and wife Sarajane of Wallaceton and 8 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Mabel M. (Woodside) Williams, a step-daughter Cheryl A. Maines, a sister Mary Jane Lippart and a brother John Maurice Williams.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at
11:00 AM. with Rev. Duane Stiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Valley Cemetery, West Decatur.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and Clearfield VFW Post #1785 Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Primitive Methodist Church, Glen Richey, or the Hahne Regional Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois PA 15801.
