Grace Gabel

Grace C. Gabel, 93, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her son's home in Woodland.

She was born on September 17, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Hiram and Esther (Tobias) Cole.

Mrs. Gabel retired from Berg Electronics. Previously, she had been employed as an operator for Bell Telephone Company. She loved to work in her flower beds and was a member of the Junior Women's Club and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She was a member of St. Francis Church, Clearfield and had attended Trinity United Methodist Church while growing up.

She is survived by her children, Virginia Mitchell of Long Valley, NJ, William Gabel and wife Pamela of Woodland, David Gabel and wife Eunice of Tulsa, OK, and Carol Litten and husband Robert of Clearfield; nine grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Gabel on May 8, 1988. She was also preceded in death by sister, Eleanor McCartney; and a son-in-law, Michael Mitchell.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you do something nice for someone else, unexpectedly and without explanation. We love you mom, a bushel and a peck. A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.
