Grace Leigey, 87, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on December 1, 1921 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Amos and Maude (Luzier) Keller.
Mrs. Leigey was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church for 75 years where she taught Sunday school, served as superintendent for 16 years and had previously been the assistant superintendent. Also, Mrs. Leigey was serving as the president of the United Methodist Women of the church.
She is survived by five children, Joyce Miller of Clearfield, Raymond J. Leigey and wife Joyce of Clearfield, Roger A. Leigey and wife Jane of OH, Verlee McCracken and husband David of Woodland and
Allen S. Leigey and wife Rev. Brenda of Woodland; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Leigey on August 9, 2000 and whom she married October 8, 1940 in Shawville and a brother Amos John 'Jack' Keller.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley, Clearfield on Friday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Virginia Eminhizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Friday from
12-1 PM.
