Hannah B. Barrett, 85, of Curwensville died on Monday, May 6, 2024 at home.
She was born on June 1, 1938 in Nanty Glo, a daughter of the late Victor and Hannah (Smith) Bensor.
Mrs. Barrett retired from Kents Sportswear, Fletcherville after 20 years of employment. She had also been previously employed at Clearfield Cheese. Hannah was a member of Cherry Corner Bible Church, Grampian.
She is survived by three children, Donald D. Barrett and wife Lori of Grampian, Rhonda Shaffer and husband Larry of Curwensville, and Douglas J. Barrett of Grampian; seven grandchildren, Tyler Barrett and wife Kylie, Cody Barrett, Megan Vicklund and husband Brett, Lacey Shaffer, Kayla Shaffer, Faith McGuire and husband Thomas, and Noah Barrett; a great grandson, Carson Vicklund; and a brother, Bill Bensor and wife Norma of Clearfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Barrett on December 6, 2019 and whom she wed September 5, 1958. She was also preceded in death by seven sisters, Sibbie Bloom, Venna Sape, Martha Solley, Marie Thomas, Shirley Irwin, Arbutus Irwin, and Marjorie Tiller; and two brothers, Robert and George Bensor.
Funeral services will be held at the Cherry Corner Bible Church, Curwensville on Friday at 12 PM with Pastor George W. Solley officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received at Cherry Corner Bible Church, Curwensville on Friday from 10 AM until the time of service.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Cherry Corner Bible Camp, 155 Nellies' Road, Grampian, PA 16838.
