Harold M. 'Meade' Barger, 80, of Frenchville died on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his home.
He was born on January 17, 1941 in Spangler, a son of the late Elmer and Florence (Yeager) Barger.
Mr. Barger worked as a logger. He enjoyed doing puzzles, listening to country music, and watching the Chicago Cubs. He also enjoyed taking care of his cat, Stripe.
He is survived by a son, Shawn A. Barger and wife Becky of Bethlehem; a daughter, Shannon Williams and husband Michael of Lehighton; three grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Barger, Mark Anthony Meade Barger, and Garrett Meade Williams; a brother, Murray Barger and wife Helen of Lewes, DE; and a sister, Marion Coy of Irvine.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. (Picard) Barger on May 30, 2017 and whom he wed September 18, 1965 in Frenchville. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Hoeneise and Jean Johns; and three brothers Elmer Barger, Harry Barger, and Gerald Barger.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Saturday November 6, 2021 at 7 PM. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 4-7 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
