Harold T. Tom Koozer, 80, of Clearfield died on Friday, July 30, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on September 11, 1929 in Clearfield, a son of the late Ashley and Margaret (Curry) Koozer.
Mr. Koozer served with the US Navy and US Air Force for twenty years, during World War II, and was later employed by Honeywell in Long Island, NY for 11 years.
He was a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church, Hyde as well as a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia 'Trish' (Johnson) Koozer, whom he wed January 25, 1953 in Clearfield; a daughter, Mary Koozer of Clearfield; two grandsons, Patrick Callender and wife Emily of Clearfield and David Callender and wife Melissa of Puyallup, WA; two great grandchildren; a sister and a brother, Mildred Haley of Lake City, FL and Alvin Koozer of Woodland and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters Martha Kimbell, Ethel Irwin and Clara Mae Kovac, a brother Vernon Koozer and a half brother Raymond Koozer.
Funeral services will be held at the Centre Grove United Methodist Church, Hyde on Wednesday at 11 AM with Dr. Randy Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and at church on Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Centre Grove United Methodist Church, 1102 Village Road, Hyde, PA 16843.
