Harrison 'Martin' Davis Jr., 84, of Rockton, died on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
He was born on January 19, 1937 in Falls Creek, PA, a son of the late Harrison Martin Sr. and Eunice (Witherite) Davis.
Martin retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant and was trained as a jet engine mechanic. For 16 of these years of service, his wife was by his side as support. Martin will be remembered as a gentle, compassionate man. He was always willing to help anyone without being expected to be paid. He was very easy going with kindness as one of his main qualities. The man that Martin was can be attributed to his mother. He also loved John Deere tractors, gardening, woodworking and tool sharpening. He loved nature and animals, especially his Bassett Hounds, which always gave him a welcomed challenge with training.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Cecelia (Duckett) Davis of Rockton; four sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
A private funeral mass will be held. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield with military honors.
