Helen R. Billotte, 84, of Frenchville died on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born on March 1, 1937 in Karthaus, a daughter of the late Russell and Grace (Rougeux) Renaud.
Helen graduated from Clearfield High School in 1957. She then worked at Stackpole Carbon of St Marys for two years before later being a homemaker. She was the Inspector of Election of Girard Twp for many years.
Mrs. Billotte enjoyed spending time on her front porch swing, watching the Game Show Network, and doing find a word puzzles. She was an avid bingo player and bird watcher. She supported various organizations including the Wounded Warrior Project, American Cancer Society, St. Jude's Research Hospital, National Audubon Society, the Area Agency on Aging, and Habitat for Humanity. She was also a long-time volunteer at the Frenchville Picnic.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the St. Mary Altar and Rosary of Frenchville, and a social member of the Frenchville VFW.
She is survived by her daughter, Deirdre B. Rowles of Frenchville; son, Fred Billotte and wife Debbie of New Bethlehem; two granddaughters, Desiree Granville and husband Dalton of Clearfield, and Danelle Billotte and fiance Anthony Star of Curwensville; two step grandchildren, Cara Arnold and husband TJ of Gettysburg, and Sean Stewart and wife Jenna of New Bethlehem, two great-grandchildren, Adalynn Stewart of New Bethlehem, and Ephraim Arnold of Gettysburg; a sister, Joan Shaw of Turtle Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Kenneth A. Billotte on November 29, 2009 and whom she wed October 17, 1959 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Irvin; and a son in law, Gregory L. Rowles.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11 AM with Fr. Sam Bungo as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2-5 PM, and on Monday from 10 AM - 11 AM at the church.
The family asks that masks be worn at both the funeral home and church.
A Christian Vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 1:30 PM.
