Helen Taylor

Helen E. Taylor, 67, of Bergen, NY, formerly of Clearfield, died on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her residence.

She was born on December 1, 1944 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Roy and Pearl (Glace) Shomo.
Mrs. Taylor retired from the Park Ridge Hospital, Rochester, NY and then subsequently retired from the
University of Rochester.

She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ, Clearfield. Mrs. Taylor enjoyed the outdoors,
especially tending to her flowers in the garden or riding her four-wheeler. Above all, she most loved
spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Barry Taylor, whom she wed December 30, 1961 at Goshen Methodist
Church; 4 children, Lisa Taylor and finance Bob Walker, Michele Oderkirk and husband Andy, Renee Taylor-Muoio and husband David and Brandon Taylor and girlfriend Sarah Santiago; 8 grandchildren
Shane Haymon and wife Korrine, Chelsea, Nicole, Sarah, Nicholas, Jordan, Mason and Makenzie; two great grandchildren, Hendrick and Maddox Haymon; and a brother and 5 sisters, Carl Shomo and wife Pat, Lola Hardin, June Juran, Joyce Valenza, Betty Wing and Linda Ardary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers Cloyd, Paul, Phillip, and Lynn; and
a sister Dorothy Long.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 10:00
A.M. with Minister Isaiah Krause officiating. Interment will follow in the Goshen Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7:00 PM on Thursday from 9-10:00
AM.

At the family’s request, donations may be made to the donor’s favorite charity in Helen’s honor.
