Herbert M. Wilson, 74

of 713 Dorey Street, Clearfield died on Monday, June 23, 2003 at his residence.

He was born on November 29, 1928 in Clearfield, a son of the late William S. and Alice (Amon) Wilson.

Mr. Wilson retired from E.M. Brown, Inc. as the certified concrete field testing technician for PennDOT. Prior to that he had worked for the former Robinson - Clay Products.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6 and a life member of the Second Ward Fire Company. He also was a member of the Chinklacamoose Square Dance Club, the Round Robin’s Round Dancing Club and the Clearfield Old Town Sportsmen’s Club. He was a former member of the Clearfield Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #812
A veteran of the US Army, he served during the Korean Conflict.

September 2, 1950 in St. Francis Church, Clearfield he wed Joanne M. Logan who survives along with three children,

Alan L. Wilson and wife Richenda Bangor
Theresa A. Molnau and husband Wade Chandler, AZ

six grandchildren,
Ryan and Nathan Wilson, Justin and F’lar Wilson and Devin and Brenna Molnau

three sisters,
Freda Henry Clearfield
Wanita Wilson Clearfield
Vivian McGonigal Bellefonte

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Alex Molnau, a sister, Mabel Miller and four brothers Doyle, Richard, George and Weaver Wilson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Thursday at
10:00 A.M. with Rev. Samuel G. Bungo as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from
2-4 & 7-9 PM.

A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:45 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund , 212 South Front Street, Clearfield PA 16830
