Howard K. Hunt Jr

Howard K. Hunt Jr, 79, of Clearfield, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the DuBois Nursing Home.

He we was born on January 26, 1945, as son of the late Howard K. Sr. and Mary Hunt.

He was a member of the The Presbyterian Church, Clearfield where he served as a Deacon and on the board of Trustees. He was also a life member of the BJW and Hyde Fire Companies; and served as president of the Hyde Fire Co. Fire Police. Howard was a Vietnam War veteran, serving in the Marines Corps from 1963-1967. He was a charter member of the former Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 47 and served as Vice President of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 974. Locally, he held membership with the Clearfield American Legion and Clearfield VFW.

Howard is survived by Eleanor Hunt; two sons, James Howard Hunt of PA, and Kenneth Edwin Hunt and wife Kathy of Jacksonville, FL; and two grandchildren, Emma L. Hunt and Andrew K. Hunt, both of Jacksonville, FL.

Howard is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Janice Florey.

Funeral Services will be held at Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory, Clearfield on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Bob Achey officiating.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at from 2-4 PM.
