Irma G. Shope, 77 of Clearfield died on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on December 17, 1932 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Enoch and Cynthia (Howell) Grice.
Mrs. Shope was a homemaker.
She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice R. Shope, Jr. whom she wed July 17, 1952 in Olanta; two daughters, Susan Boob and husband Jack of Clearfield and Cynthia Atkinson and husband John of Centreville, VA; four grandchildren, Christina Ramon and husband Eric of Livermore, CA, Brad Boob and wife Kristin of Hollidaysburg, Robert Atkinson of Centreville, VA and Matthew Atkinson of Centreville, VA; three great grandchildren, Joshua Ramon, Alyssa Ramon, Jackson Boob; two sisters, Beatrice Harper and husband Richard of Clearfield and Beverly Fullerton and husband Richard of Hyde; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Violet Frankhouser, a brother Walter Grice and an infant sister Roxie Irene Grice.
A memorial service will be held at the West Side United Methodist Church, Clearfield on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10:30 AM with Dr. Joleen A. Willis officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to West Side United Methodist Church, 317 Nichols Street, Clearfield or to The American Diabetes Association, Inc., 4617 Winthrop Street, Pittsburgh PA 15213.
The Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
