Jack R. Irwin, 70

of Clearfield died on Monday, August 18, 2008 at Clearfield Hospital.

He was born on February 18, 1938 in Woodland, a son of the late Owen E. and Althea (McDonald) Irwin.

Mr. Irwin was a truck driver all of his life, working at Clearfield Cheese, Jim Walker, Walker Coal and retiring in 2003 from Eagle Transport of St. Mary's. He also worked as a machine operator.
He was a member of the Community Baptist Church, Curwensville and the Mosquito Creek Sportsman's Club.

He is survived by his fiancée Dorothy M. 'Dotty' McBride of Clearfield, six children, Joyce M. Holdren and husband Vance of Philipsburg, Wendy J. Routch and husband Daniel of Hyde, Jackie L. Jordan and husband Donald of Kissimmee, FL, Teresa L. Irwin of Philipsburg, Rhonda K. Myers of Philipsburg, Richard Irwin and wife Stephanie of WV, twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren, his former spouse, Edwina C. Ford of Philipsburg, six brothers and four sisters, Jay Irwin and wife Virginia of Woodland, Richard Irwin and wife Diana of Levington, MI, Barbara Records and husband Charles of Clearfield, Janet Baker of Clearfield, Robert Irwin of Woodland, William Irwin and wife Barbara of Old Saybrook, CT, Joseph Irwin and wife Jennifer of Woodland Maxine 'Mickey' Hoyt and husband Donald 'Nestor' of Woodland, Martha Green and husband Ron of Woodland, Roger Irwin and wife Debbie of Clearfield, a sister-in-law, Judy Irwin of Pinedale, WY, and several nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brent A. Irwin and two brothers, Thomas Allen Irwin and Owen Lee Irwin.

Funeral services will be held at the Community Baptist Church, Curwensville on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Todd Hogue officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from
4-8:00 PM and at the church on Friday from 10-11:00 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
