Jack D. Rodi, 91, of Clearfield died on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born on July 19, 1929 in Clearfield, a son of the late Domenic A. and Tressa M. (Unch) Rodi.
Mr. Rodi served in the US Army from 1948-1951. After returning to Clearfield, he was employed by the Clearfield Water Authority for fourteen years. He was then employed with Sears Co. and then retired from Curwensville Cheese Plant following fourteen years of employment. After retiring, Mr. Rodi has enjoyed driving school children with Fink Services. When Mr. Rodi returned from the Army, he was exposed to bowling and has bowled in some form of a league since 1952. In fact, Mr. Rodi had been part of 55 consecutive PA state tournaments.
He was a member of the Sons & Daughters of Italy for many years where he served as an officer, and was also a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
He is survived by his son, Jay Rodi of Clearfield; a brother, Sam Rodi of Clearfield; and a sister, Mary Spinella of San Diego, CA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha E. (Flood) Rodi on March 18, 2014; three sisters, Palma Smith, Frances Rodi, and Victoria Shuck; and a brother, Eugene Rodi.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home & Crematory, Clearfield on Friday from 4-7 PM and on Saturday from 9:30-10AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund 212 South Front Street, Clearfield, PA.
