James A. Aughenbaugh, 79, of Hyde, died on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born on September 2, 1941 in Clearfield, a son of the late Earl and Ines (Hoover) Aughenbaugh.
Mr. Aughenbaugh retired after 28 years of employment at Tafco, Clearfield. He was a member of the Clearfield VFW as well as the Clearfield Moose Lodge. In his spare time, he enjoyed dancing.
He is survived by two sons, James A. Aughenbaugh of Curwensville and Chris L. Aughenbaugh of Hyde; two step sons, David P. Berry of Curwensville and Jeffery L. Berry of Greensburg; five grandchildren Jesse J. Aughenbaugh, Joshua A. Aughenbaugh, Carrie E. Aughenbaugh, Chad C. Aughenbaugh, and Curtis R. Aughenbaugh; three great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a brother, George Aughenbaugh and wife Ann of Franklin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Read.
In honor of Mr. Aughenbaugh's wishes, there will be no services observed.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hyde Fire Company, 1618 Washington Avenue, Hyde, PA 16843.
