James D. Billotte, 87, of Frenchville died on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at his home.
He was born on March 23, 1929 in Frenchville, a son of the late Desera and Lilly (Roussey) Billotte.
Mr. Billotte retired in 1991 after 37 years with the Iron Workers Union where he served as an instructor for the apprentices of the local chapter #772.
He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Frenchville. He was a 1947 graduate of the Clearfield High School and a life member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsman Club and a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Leigey Renaud Post 8386, Frenchville. Mr. Billotte served as treasurer for many years with the Quehanna Lions Club and was a member of the R.S.V.P. EASY Program - Water Chapter. He was involved with the Hiking Club in the Quehanna area where he was a Trail Keeper and maintainer of the hiking trails.
He is survived by his life long companion, Olive Plubell of Frenchville; two children, Bradley Billotte of Clearfield and Lynette Fulmer and husband Jerry of Clearfield; a step son, Neil Plubell and wife Kathy of OH; six grandchildren, Paul and Jared Billotte, Kylee and Leland Billotte, and Juistina and husband Josh and Dominic and wife Ashley; three step grandchildren, Lacey Carfley and husband Delvin, Breanna Plubell and David Sutton; and several great grandchildren. He'll also be great missed by his beloved poodle, Gigi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, G. Beryl (Smith) Billotte on May 5, 1982 and whom he wed August 27, 1947 in Frenchville. He was also preceded in death by a son, Randy Billotte; and four brothers, Florence, Boyd, Gerald and Willard Billotte.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Marys Catholic Church, Frenchville on Monday at 11 am with Rev. David A. Perry, Jr., Fr. Philip Billotte and Fr. Samuel Bungo as celebrants. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday from 2-5 PM and at the church on Monday from 10 - 11 am. .
