James Joseph Garito, 68, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Born October 30, 1955 in Clearfield, a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Rose) Garito. Jim married Debra A. (Hoover) Garito on May 10, 1980 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
Jim is survived by his wife, Debra; a daughter, Tracie (Joe) Grimm; and two sons, Michael (Tara) Garito) and Brian (Megan) Garito.
Jim is also survived by his sisters, Jeanette Conklin, Mary (Bob) Heller, Mae (Don) Galio, Phyllis (Jim) Galio, Sandy Erhard; a brother, John Garito; and his mother-in-law, Josephine Hoover.
He is survived by seven grandchildren, Jared and Ember Grimm, Aaron, Eric, and Joseph Garito, and Madilyn and Joelyn Garito. Jim also is survived by two great grandchildren, Grayson and Owen Lee Garito; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ralph Hoover; a niece, Jennifer Galio; and brothers-in-law, Lee Conklin, Bob Erhard, and Tim Hoover.
Honoring Jim's wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Historic Crown Crest Cemetery.
Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
