James C. Jim Michaels, 67
beloved husband, father and pap, of Woodland died on Monday, May 19, 2003 at his home.
He was born on March 25, 1936 in Croft, PA, a son of the late William C. and Nila Ann (Taylor) Michaels.
Mr. Michaels retired from Penelec in 1998 after 31 years of service. Prior to that he ran dragline for Shawville Coal Company for 11 years and had also worked for Buick in Flint, Michigan.
A 1954 Clearfield High School graduate, he was a member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsman Club and was an avid fisherman and gardener with a great love for the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Charolette M. (Thurston) Michaels, whom he married April 2, 1956 in Clearfield,
five daughters,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Robert L. and William L. Michaels.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at
11:00 A.M. with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from
2-4:00 & 7-9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, Relay For Life, 119 E. Market Street, Clearfield, the Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice , PO Box 992, Clearfield or to the charity of ones choice.
