Janet E. Sposito, 84, of Curwensville died on Monday, February 7, 2011 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born on April 10, 1926 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late John and Frances (Naddeo) DiBratto.
Mrs. Sposito was employed at the Village Craft shop, Clearfield for 15 years.
She was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Curwensville.
She is survived by a son, Joseph J. Sposito of Curwensville; a granddaughter, Brittany Lynn of Curwensville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Sposito in 1985 and whom she married September 22, 1945 in Clearfield, a daughter Connie Sposito, a son Michael Sposito, and four sisters Teresa Antonuk, Rose Kupka, Amelia Schneider and Nancy Price.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 10 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Friday from 9-9:30 AM.
At the funeral home on Thursday, a Christian Vigil service will be held at 1:45 PM and the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 South Second Street, Clearfield or to the Muscular Dystrophy, 5500 Brooktree Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
