John Duga, 85
of Clearfield died on Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at Clearfield Colonial Courtyard.
He was born on January 1, 1919 in Grassflat, PA, a son of the late Steven and Anna (Grega) Duga.
Mr. Duga retired in 1988 from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service. Prior to that, he was employed by Ford Motor Company in Buffalo, NY for several years.
He served in the Army during World War II with the 734th Ordinance Light Maintenance Company in the African and European Theatres.
He is survived by a brother and sister,
Andrew Duga and wife Lois
Marie Mae Harris all of Clearfield
and two nieces and one nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M. (Callari) Duga, on December 11, 2001 and whom he married July 2, 1948, two sisters, Anna and Helen Duga and infant twin brothers Mike and Steve.
There will be no visitation and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Entombment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY.
The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
