John J. Thompson, 71
of Christ the King Manor, DuBois died on Thursday, February 19, 2004 at the manor.
He was born on May 24, 1932 in McCalmont Township, Jefferson County, a son of the late John Thompson and Ruth A. (Hatten) Hartzfeld Thompson
John enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.
He is survived by nieces and nephews:

Clarence W. 'Buddy' Thomas and wife Janet Grampian RD

David E. 'Gene' Gelnette and wife Mary Emporium

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Paul M. 'Mickey' Hartzfeld, sisters Rhoda Morris, Ida Mae Thomas, Inez Gelnette, step-sisters Betty Beck and Ella Hatten and a step-brother Ernest Hartzfeld.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Monday at
11:00 A.M. with Pastor Charles M. Lee, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Grampian, RD.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8:00 PM and on Monday from
10-11:00 AM
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Bible Fellowship Church, RD Luthersburg, or to the charity of one's choice
