Josephine 'Dolly' Milliron

Josephine M. ‘Dolly’ Milliron, 90, of Curwensville went to meet her creator on Friday, March 18, 2011 at 5:30 pm at the Clearfield Hospital.

She was born in Curwensville on September 22, 1920, a daughter of the late Clarance and Genevieve Coulter.

Josephine retired in 1985 from the Fletcherville Clothing Company after almost 20 years that began in the Kent Plant in Curwensville.

She is survived by seven children, Nancy Harper of North Tonawanda, NY, Joyce Martell of Lockport, NY, Cheryl Bortz of North Tonawanda, NY, John ‘Sam’ Milliron of Curwensville, Joseph Milliron of McKinney, TX, David Milliron of Port Matilda and Jeffrey Milliron of Curwensville; 22 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.

She will be remembered as a loving mother through every generation with a great mind that never left her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Milliron on June 16, 1966 and whom she wed May 30, 1940, a daughter Judith Buck on September 17, 2009, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a brother William Coulter.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Tuesday at 11 AM with Rev. George Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 9-11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her name to the charity of one’s choice.
