Josephine B. ‘Jo’ Patrick, 81, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born on November 15, 1930 in Barnesboro, a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Whitsura) Raynish.
Mrs. Patrick was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her family. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield where she was also a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. Mrs. Patrick enjoyed playing bingo and taking gambling trips. She will be remembered for having beautiful flowers around her home and her garden and took great pride in keeping a spotless house. Mrs. Patrick always looked forward to watching Penn State and Pittsburgh Steeler football.
She is survived by four children; Diane Patrick of Deltona, FL, Roxane Bird and husband John of Ashburn, VA; Robert Patrick of State College and David Patrick and wife Megan (Proud) of Clearfield; four grandchildren with whom she cherished spending time, Sarah, Tori and Matthew Patrick all of State College and Braison Patrick of Clearfield; a sister and three brothers, Frances Barnes of Northern Cambria, John Raynish and wife Stella of Northern Cambria, Joseph Raynish and wife Emma of Ambridge and Michael Raynish and wife Carol of Bakerton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. 'Chub' Patrick on October 19, 2006 and whom she married July 14, 1951 in Barnesboro; and four sisters Mary, Catherine, Veronica and Dorothy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 9-9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Ave., 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017.
