Julia R. Sabanosh, of Clearfield, passed away May 18th, 2019 while visiting in her daughter in Houston, TX.
She was born in Passaic, NJ on September 13th, 1932, the daughter of Joseph Borani and Rose Rokol Borani.
She graduated from Clifton High School, Clifton NJ in 1950 and pursued a registered nursing degree from Passaic General Hospital. She married Nicholas Sabanosh from Garfield, NJ. After his Navy discharge, they moved to Clearfield. Julia worked as a Registered Nurse at Clearfield Hospital from 1960 until her retirement in 1996. Although retired, she monitored blood pressures for friends and neighbors because that what Julie did. She was a member of the American Legion John Lewis Shade Post 6 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bridge in several clubs, shopping, decorating, arranging flowers and vacationing with Nick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Borani and Rose Rokol Borani and her husband Nicholas Sabanosh.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail Sabanosh of Houston, TX and Linda Corcoran of Pittsburgh, PA; two granddaughters, Amy Miller and husband Patrick of Cape Coral, FL and their recently born daughter, Laila Caroline, who unfortunately Julia was not able to meet; and Julie Corcoran and Duane Shaffer and their two boys Caleb and Brayden of West Mifflin. Watching Mom hold Brayden and kiss his little hand and tell him everything was Ok, was precious. They related.
A celebration of Life will be held for Julia Sabanosh on Sunday June 23rd, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm on the second floor of John Lewis Shade American Legion Post 6, located at 210 South St. Clearfield, PA. 16830.
