June Elizabeth Tubbs, 82, of Curwensville died on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the home of her daughter, Sue Narehood of Bellefonte.
She was born on June 27, 1924 in Stronach, a daughter of the late Cleve and Emma (McCracken) Guiher.
Mrs. Tubbs was a homemaker and a member of the Grampian Church of God where she belonged to the Missionary Ladies of the Church.
She is survived by four children, Joseph Tubbs and wife Nancy of Curwensville, David Tubbs and wife Sharon of Curwensville, Sue Narehood and husband Bill of Bellefonte and Dena Solley and husband George of Grampian; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Betty Freeman of Clearfield and Josephine Titanish of Stewartstown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard E. Tubbs on January 2, 1990 and whom she married in September of 1943 and by two brothers and three sisters, David Guiher, Joseph Guiher, Jenny Beers, Bessie Barrett and Eva Snyder.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor George W. Solley and Rev. Gust J. Maderia Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 pm and on Wednesday from 10-11 am
