Katherine M. Friberg, 84, of Clearfield died on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
She was born on June 10, 1937 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Annie Mary Lybarger.
Katherine graduated from the Clearfield County Vocational School in 1981 as a Licensed Practical nurse. She worked at both Dubois and Curwensville Nursing Homes before working at the Clearfield Hospice for six years. She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church and the Clearfield American Legion. Katherine was also a member and past auxiliary president of the Clearfield Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 812.
She is survived by her children, Ralph V. Friberg III and wife Rose of Converse, LA, David M. Friberg of Olanta, Michele Hale and husband Michael of Clearfield, and Tracy L. Friberg of Clearfield; fourteen grandchildren; twenty twenty one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a brother, James Kyler and wife Donna of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph V. Friberg Jr.; a son, Mark Allen Friberg; two brothers, Buddy and Kenneth Kyler; and two sisters, Diane and CarolLee Kyler.
In honor of Mrs. Friberg's wishes, there will be no public services observed at this time. Burial will be in the Beulah Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of donor's choice.
