Kathleen "Kay" Lingenfelter, 85
of 33 Clover Run Road, Mahaffey died on Monday, August 4, 2003 at DuBois Regional Medical Center - West.
She was born on January 9, 1918 in Clearfield, PA, a daughter of the late Henderson and Bessie (Johnston) Meckley.
Mrs. Lingenfelter retired from the former Clearfield Cheese Company after 25 years of service. She was previously employed by the former Kents Sportswear as a seamstress.
She is survived by two daughters,
Mary Oaks and husband Chester Pittsburgh
Lena Finney and husband Lowell Houtzdale
five grandchildren,
Dawn, Wendy, Melanie, Sarah, and Alexis
two great-grandchildren,
and a brother,
Donald Meckley Westover
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rexford D. Lingenfelter, on September 29, 1990 and whom she married May 23, 1940 in Five Points, PA and two brothers Samuel and Ralph Meckley.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Robert A. Schilot officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
At Mrs. Lingenfelters request there will be no visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 119 East Market Street, Clearfield PA 16830.
