Kathryn A. Henchbarger Eisenman, 88
of Keedysville, MD and formerly of Clearfield died on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Homewood Nursing Home, Williamsport MD.
She was born on April 13, 1918 in Morrisdale, PA, a daughter of the late Fred and Barbara (Berry) Way.
A 1937 graduate of Clearfield High School, she also graduated from Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing in 1940 and Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1962.
Mrs. Eisenman retired from the Clearfield Area School District as a school nurse. Prior to that she worked at DuBois, Niagara Falls Memorial and Clearfield Hospitals.
She was a former member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield
She is survived by a daughter Patricia L. Rishel of Keedysville MD; a son-in-law, F. William Rishel of Curwensville; 2 granddaughters, Robin Tutt and husband Joseph of Manassas, VA, Kimberly Bickett and husband Joseph of Hedgesville WV and 4 great grandchildren, Kristy Graham of Jackonsville, NC, Joey Bickett of Noble, OK, Steven Bohannon and Amanda Tutt both of Manassas, VA.
Also survived by 4 step-children, Thomas J. Eisenman of Hollidaysburg, Janice Eisenman Bentz and husband David of Macungie, David J. Eisenman and wife Lois of Clearfield, William R. Eisenman and wife Amy of AZ;
9 step grandchildren and 14 step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Emmitt J. Henchbarger in 1945. She later wed Thomas I. Eisenman who died on March 2, 1988. She was also preceded in death by a step daughter-in-law Janice (Timmie Milles) Eisenman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from
7-9:00 PM and on Friday from 9-9:30 AM.
A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Clearfield School of Nursing Scholarship Fund, in care of Rita Thompson, 612 Arnold Avenue, Clearfield or St. Francis Catholic Church, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield.
