Ken Albert Shimmel, 38
of Lanse died on Monday, December 30, 2002 at his residence.
He was born on March 4, 1964 in Philipsburg, PA, the son of Gilbert and Mary (Moore) Shimmel of Kylertown.
Mr. Shimmel was employed at the Wal Mart Distribution Center, Woodland and had also worked for Mansun North, Inc. He was a member of the Wallaceton Church of God where he served as an elder, a deacon, a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and a song leader.
He is survived by his wife, Georganne (Rothrock) Shimmel, whom he married June 22, 1985 at the Wallaceton Church of God

He was preceded in death by an infant sister Deborah Ann, his maternal grandparents Edward Moore and Mary Ellen Harris and his paternal grandparents Willard and Augusta Shimmel.
Funeral services will be held at the Wallaceton Church of God on Friday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Zitsch, Rev. Thomas LeFever and Rev. William Houben co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from
6-9:00 PM and on Friday at the church from Noon-2:00 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Wallaceton Church of God, Building Fund, PO Box 4, Wallaceton, PA 16876
