Kenneth C. 'Craig' Nelson, 66, of Shawville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
He was born on July 16, 1956 in Clearfield, a son of the late Kenneth A. and Elizabeth 'Betty' (Lansberry) Nelson.
Craig had retired from the Shawville Power Plant after being employed their for 42 years. Craig loved motorcycles and was a founder and charter member of the Spartans Motor Cycle Club. He was a member of several pool leagues in the area and loved hunting. Craig had a love of horses and enjoyed having them on his farm. Craig was a former member of the Clearfield Eagles, the Clearfield American Legion, and was a member of the Moose Riders. He was also a former member of the Three Percent Organization.
Craig had given his life back to Christ and had lived to serve him. He made it a priority in his life to attend the Lighthouse Church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Morrison) Nelson; three step children, Russell Hurley, Parsha (Hurley) Knepp, and Tyler Hurley and wife Alicia; four grandchildren, Alexa, Carter, Synsir, and Brenna; a brother-in-law, Michael 'Nerd' Morrison and wife Jackie, a sister-in-law, Lisa Volk and husband Bob; a sister-in-law, Jenny Nelson; a nephew, Ryan Nelson and wife Jennah and their children Demi and Reece; a niece, Isabella Nelson and partner Isaac; and a mother-in-law, Lettie Morrison; and his beloved dog, Pupcake.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Nelson.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Saturday at 11 AM with Pastor LJ Greenway officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 2 PM -7 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM -11 AM.
