Kenneth D. Pardoe, 82, of Clearfield died on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born on September 28, 1934 in Huntingdon, a son of the late Donald I. and Mable M. (Hunter) Pardoe.
Mr. Pardoe attended Penn State University and began studying Metallurgy and then changed to pre-law. In 1955, he was drafted to the Army and served time in Germany. In 1959, he began his second service with the Armed Forces being drafted by the Air National Guard Reserves during the Berlin Crisis where he attained the rank of staff sergeant in the Intelligence unit. Upon returning home to Bellefonte, he was offered a job as a manager at the former Brown's Boot Shop. When the company sold all of their stores, Mr. Pardo bought the Bellefonte location and managed it.
He was attended the Methodist church in Bellefonte.
He is survived by his sister, Bernice Solley of Grampian.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona (Burns) Pardoe.
Graveside services will be held at the Centre County Memorial Park, State College, on Thursday at 11 AM with Pastor George W. Solley officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Cherry Corner Church, 155 Nellie's Road, Grampian.
