Kenneth Welder

Kenneth W. ‘Rover’ Welder, 67, of Woodland died on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Clearfield Hospital.

He was born on December 19, 1940 in Grampian, a son of the late Oliver and Lucy (Walburn) Welder.

Mr. Welder was a self employed truck driver.
He attended the Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland and was a lifetime member of the Bigler-Jackson-Woodland Fire Company. In addition, he was a member of the Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #812, the Susquehanna Antique Tractor Association and the Nittany Valley Antique Tractor Association. He was also active in the Bradford Township Instructional Baseball.
He enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Linda M. (Lansberry) Welder, whom he wed February 6, 1960 in Clearfield; four children, Gerald Welder and wife Joyce of Aransas Pass, TX, Terry Welder and wife Tammy of Sanborn, Bunny Sayers and husband Mike of Shiloh, and Ginger Welder and partner Judy Dennison WA; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Welder and wife Betty of Byrnedale and Samuel Welder and wife Beverly of Grampian; two sisters, Ruth Wright of Clearfield and Louise Welder of Grampian; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Roy; and an infant sister.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM and on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Bradford Township Instructional Baseball, % Bigler YMCA, PO Box 417, Bigler, PA 16825.
