Kyle C. Dixon, 27, of Lanse and formerly of DuBois, died on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville after a lengthy, hard-fought, battle with COVID-19.
He was born on September 24, 1993 in Clearfield, a son of Al Dixon of Lanse and Cindy (Rimel) Catalano of Pittsburgh.
Kyle graduated from DuBois Area High School in 2012 where he was involved with wrestling and track and field. He was presently employed as a Corrections Officer at SCI Houtzdale. In his spare time, he loved Sasquatch hunting, shooting guns and spending time with his friends, and girlfriend.
He is survived by his father Al Dixon of Lanse; his mother Cindy Catalano of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Stephanie Rimel, Jennifer Dixon, Lauren Dixon, all of Pittsburgh; a niece, Maci Dixon of Pittsburgh; and his paternal grandparents, Elroy and Jane Dixon of Morrisdale.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Kathleen Conklin.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Tuesday at 1 PM with Raymond Stiner officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring Valley Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM-1 PM.
