L. Dwight Forcey, 80 of Clearfield died on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at Burnside.
He was born on November 6, 1928 in Woodland, a son of the late Max and Margaret (Graham) Forcey.
Mr. Forcey was the former owner of Forcey Coal, Inc. for 20 years, prior to that he was a trucking owner and operator for 30 years.
He was a member of Centre Grove United Methodist Church, Hyde, where he served in various positions at the church and a member of the Clearfield Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540 for over 30 years.
A veteran of the US Air Force, he served during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Brown) Forcey, whom he wed August 14, 1952 in Clearfield,
six children,

David D. Forcey and wife Diane of Smithmill
Vickie Casteel and husband Gary of Curwensville
Lisa McCahan and husband Dennis of Woodland
Jill Forcey of Clearfield
Dr. Jodi Porter and husband Eric of Houtzdale
twelve grandchildren,
Keely, Joel, Joshua and Ian Casteel, Alicia, Shannon, Stephanie and Jesse Forcey, Dustin Frisco,
Leah and Kalynn Boalich and Raegan Porter
3 step grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 6 step great-grandchildren,
a sister,
Eleanor Moore of Warriors Mark
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul G., Max W., James W., and Francis 'Mutt' Forcey.
A memorial services will be held at the Centre Grove United Methodist Church, Hyde on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Croft officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Military honors will be accorded at the church by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and the Clearfield VFW Post #1785.
Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 10-11 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Center Grove United Methodist Church, 1102 Village Road, Clearfield PA 16830 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
