Lawrence Diehl

Lawrence T. Diehl, 92

of Utahville Road, Coalport and formerly of Clearfield, died on Monday, August 5, 2002 at
Bon Secours-Holy Family Regional Hospital in Altoona.

He was born on April 17, 1910 in Coalport, PA, a son of the late Frank and Martha (Knepper) Diehl.

Mr. Diehl retired from the former Harbison-Walker Refractory having over 32 years of service.
He was a former member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Clearfield and a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows.
A veteran of the US Army, he served during World War II.

He is survived by

a daughter
Karen Rumsey CT

three grandchildren and one great granddaughter

a sister
Nora Snedden St. Augustine

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine June (Harnish) Diehl
on June 22, 1991 and whom he married June 12, 1940 in Irvona, PA, a son Dennis Diehl, who died on December 18, 1962, nine brothers and three sisters .

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Norman D. ‘Deak’ Irvine officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 7-9:00 PM and on Friday from
1-2:00 PM

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.
