Lawrence L. Pifer, 58
of 90 Bishtown Road, Woodland died on Friday, March 11, 2005 at his residence.
He was born on February 8, 1947 in Philipsburg, a son of Lawrence I. and Maxine (LeGrand) Pifer of Interlachen, FL
Mr. Pifer served in the US Air Force for 24 years retiring in 1990. He then was employed by the DuBois Job Center and also was a Rural Route Carrier for the US Postal Service in Clearfield.
Mr. Pifer was a member of the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, Woodland.
He was a member and founder of the Susquehanna Antique Machinery Club and served as the clubs second president. In addition, he was a former member of the Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #812 and a member of their bowling team.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Anna M. (Parry) Pifer, whom he married June 22, 1974 in St. Agnes Church, Morrisdale,

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at
10:00 AM with Rev. Charles J. Swenson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and Clearfield VFW Post #1785 honor guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5:00 PM and on Monday from
9-10:00 AM
