Leora Jane Lynch, 85
of 152 Anderson Avenue, Curwensville died on Saturday, January 24, 2004 at her residence.
She was born on April 9, 1918 in Curwensville, a daughter of the late Israel and Pearl (Jones) Stewart.
Mrs. Lynch was a homemaker and a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church.
She was also past president of the United Methodist Women, a Sunday school teacher, and served on the Commission on Missions and the executive board of United Methodist Women, State College District for eight years. In addition, she was a past president of the Clearfield Church Women United and a member of the MIZPAH Sunday school class.
She is survived by three children,

Joyce Diggs and husband Philip Michigan City, IN
Paul Lynch and wife Martha Clearfield
14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great great grandson,
three sisters and two brothers,

Frances Simpson and husband Alfred AZ
Freda Stephans and husband Alexander Morton
Wallace Stewart and wife Gladys York
Owen Stewart Curwensville
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. 'Bullet' Lynch on February 20, 2003 and whom she married October 12, 1941 in Dillon, S. Carolina, sons Gordon Stewart, and Terry Lynch, granddaughter Anitra Diggs, sisters and brothers, Lula Berry, Minnie Hightower, Geraldine Cales, Melvin Stewart, Herman Stewart, Chester Stewart and Glen Stewart.
Funeral services will be held at the Curwensville United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Arlene P. Beechert officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Tuesday from
2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Wednesday at the church from 10-11:00 AM
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville United Methodist Church, 602 State Street, Curwensville, Curwensville Public Library, 601 Beech Street, Curwensville or the American Cancer Society, 119 E. Market Street, Clearfield.
