Lerena V. Haag, 92, of Milton, formerly of Grampian, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Kramm Nursing Home, Milton.
She was born on May 15, 1920 in Gypsy, a daughter of the late Alexander and Nancy (McCracken) Wassam.
Mrs. Haag retired in 1983 from Shop Vac, Williamsport. She had been previously employed at Cobblers Shoe Factory, Williamsport, Dumont Airplane and Marine Co., Hyde and Kent's Sportswear, Curwensville.
She was a member of the Oval United Methodist Church, Oval.
She is survived by three children Mary Jane Bennett and husband Gilbert of Milton, Darlene Y. Smith and husband Charles of Falls Creek and Lawrence E. Haag and wife Dale of Berwick; ten grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law Linda Haag of Williamsport.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Meirl Lawrence Haag on December 24, 1975 and whom she wed December 8, 1934 in Grampian; a daughter Helen E. Seaburn; a grandson and great grandson; a son-in-law Donald Diehl; three sisters Annie E. Wassam, Linnie L. Patrick and Viola B. Shephard; and six brothers Clarence, Eugene, Leonard, Robert, William and Floyd Wassam.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor Wanda Minnick and Pastor Roger McGary, Mrs. Haag's great grandson, co-officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 AM.
