Lester P. "Kissy" Collins, 85
of Carrs Hill, RD# 1, Clearfield died on Monday, November 18, 2002 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
He was born on September 15, 1917 in Punxsutawney, PA, a son of the late Edward and Celeste (Triponey) Collins.
Mr. Collins, along with his wife, owned and operated Collin's Dairy Farm on Carr's Hill in Clearfield. He was also employed in various strip mines throughout the area and formerly worked at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, the Clearfield Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #812 and the former 104th Calvary of Clearfield. In addition, he was actively involved in the Clearfield County Fair.
He is survived by eight children,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie A. (Carr) Collins on November 5, 1996 and whom he married July 27, 1938 in the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
He was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, brothers Leo, Barney, Edward, Charles and sisters Maxine and Beverly.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at
2:00 P.M. with Rev. W. Michael Langford, grandson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Centre Cemetery, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from 3-9:00 PM and on Wednesday from 1- 2:00 PM
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield, the Hyde Fire Co, Box 246, Hyde or to Clearfield EMS, 713 W. front Street, Clearfield.
