Lloyd L. Dahlem, 73, of Clearfield, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, with his two sons, sister and lifelong partner by his side.
He was born on December 27, 1947 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Leonard and Anna Marie (Brown) Dahlem.
Lloyd was a lifelong entrepreneur and the founder of Equipment Locators in Clearfield, selling large earthmoving equipment worldwide. He also loved the outdoors, especially kayaking and canoeing on the Susquehanna River or creating masterful fires in the fireplace and grilling on his old-fashioned Weber. He envisioned, designed, built and maintained his beautiful home in the woods called 'The Land', and loved spending time with his frequent bear and deer friends. When Lloyd wasn't enjoying the peace of nature, he would be enjoying sports and never missed a Steelers, Penn State or a grandchild's sporting event.
Above most things, Lloyd enjoyed having the people that meant most to him around him. He maintained many lifelong friends from childhood through college who would all come together for frequent reunions around the globe. He loved being with and watching his grandkids. He will be fondly missed and will be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, father, grandfather and friend to all.
He is survived by two sons, Eric Dahlem of Pittsburgh and Wes Dahlem of Clearfield; four grandchildren, Ethan, Julian and Carter Dahlem and William Cypressi; two sisters, Christine Occhino and husband Joe of FL and Catherine Dahlem of Cleveland, OH; and his lifelong partner, Annette Mikesell of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Dahlem.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield Salvation Army, 119 Byers Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
