Lloyd C. Haines, 78, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on February 7, 1929 in Sanborn, a son of the late Jacob and Violet (Kephart) Haines.
Mr. Haines owned and operated a used car and towing business from 1964 until his retirement in 1991. He also owned and operated Haines Haven Kennel for 18 years and was formerly employed by the Ford Motor Company in Buffalo, NY.
He was a member of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #812.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during World War II.
He is survived by a son, Alan Haines and wife Sylvia of Virginia Beach, VA; a step granddaughter, Emily Farrar; and a sister, Kathryn Tutokey and husband Edward of Bellefonte.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers Oliver, Oscar, Iman, Wesley, Lesley and Herman Haines.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Rodger J. Gorton officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11:00 AM
