Lois C. Danver, 89, of Clearfield died on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born on September 1, 1918 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Catherine E. (Rafferty) Danver.
Miss Danver retired from the former Clearfield Sportswear after 44 years of service.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and a volunteer at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She is survived by four sisters and a brother, Helen Taylor, Alice Danver, Rosella Duttry, Ruth Ann McCracken and husband Clifford, and James Danver all of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Coons, a brother Francis 'Frank' Danver, three brothers-in-law, Robert Coons, Elry Taylor and Dwight Duttry, a sister-in-law, Amy Danver, two nephews, two grand nieces and one grand nephew.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Friday at 10:00 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 PM and on Friday from 9-9:30 AM.
At the funeral home on Thursday a Christian Vigil Service will be said at 3:45 PM.
