Lorraine Lansberry

Lorraine M. Lansberry, 82, of Bigler died on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on December 1, 1927 in Bigler, a daughter of the late William and Agnes (Hoover) Albert.

Mrs. Lansberry was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bigler United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by a daughter and son, Janet Swisher of Bigler and Jay Lansberry and his wife, Gaye, of Zelienople; two grandchildren, Jodi Shaw and her husband, Eric, of West Decatur and Gabriel Lansberry of Grove City; two great granddaughters; a brother; Fred Albert of Bigler; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold O. 'Hoot' Lansberry on January 18, 1980 and whom she married in the Bigler United Methodist Church in April 1947, and by four sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield at the convenience of the family with Pastor Brent Salsgiver officiating. Interment will be in the Bigler Cemetery, Bigler.

There will be no public visitation.
