Louis G. Kress, 87, of Grampian died on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 18, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late George and Regina (O'Malley) Kress.
Mr. Kress was employed as a pilot, first flying for the Koppers Corporation and then flew with Crown Airways, which became US Air Express. He served as their chief pilot at the DuBois Airport. He was also a corporate pilot for Brockway Glass, which became O-I. Mr. Kress served with the U. S. Navy and was assigned to Patrol Squadron VP-661.
He is survived by his wife, Mary K. (Crawford) Kress; two children, Monica Huffman and husband Kevin of Middletown, OH, and Jim Kress and wife Teri of Jamestown, NY; three grandchildren, Erin Kress and husband Ben, Madison Kress and husband James, and Paul Huffman and wife Maura.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Kress; and a sister, Patricia Kress.
In honor of Mr. Kress's wishes, there will be no public services held.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Grampian Church of Faith and the American Lung Association.
