Lynn H. Hooven, 90
of Olanta died on Sunday, September 7, 2003 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on January 28, 1913 in Curwensville, a son of the late Charles and Minnie (Schmitt) Hooven.
A graduate of Curwensville High School, Mr. Hooven was employed as a plumber, welder and pipe fitter for 45 years, retiring in 1975. He was protestant by faith.
He is survived by a son,
Jerold A. Hooven and wife Rebecca Olanta
six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hooven was the last of his generation.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Florence (Ardary) Hooven on January 11, 1984 and whom he married August 11, 1934, a son John L. Hooven on January 24, 1972, two brothers Max and Albert Hooven, three sisters Kathleen Mayberry, Irene Marshall, and Frances Goldstein.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3-5:00 & 7-9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10-11:00 AM.
