Madeline Krebs

Madeline T. Krebs, 80

of Hyde died on Sunday, October 5, 2003 at her residence.

She was born on March 19, 1923 in Clearfield, PA, a daughter of the late Carl and Lelia (Dixon) Turner.

Mrs. Krebs retired as a nursing supervisor from the former Clear Haven Nursing Home where she was employed for several years. She was also a partner in Krebs Moving and Storage Company.
During WW II, she served as a cadet nurse.
A 1941 graduate of Clearfield High School, she also graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church.
Family was very important to Madeline. She lived for her children and their families.

She is survived by three daughters,
Kathleen K. Mapes Clearfield
Karleen K. Ianaro and husband Carmine Clearfield
Mary Ann Condon and husband William Hyde

four grandchildren,
Robert E. Krebs and wife Sandra Pittsburgh
Maegan R. Rottkamp and husband Eric Mount Laurel, NJ
David E. Solarczyk and wife Colleen Maple Shade, NJ
Curtis E. Ianaro Clearfield

two great grandchildren,
Lauren A. Krebs
Jake A. Rottkamp

these brothers and sisters,
Wilbur Turner Morrisdale
Carl Turner Portland, OR
Mildred Doyle Redding, CA
Thelma Fullerton Curwensville

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Krebs on August 8, 1980 and whom she married in Clearfield on June 8, 1946, a son David L. Krebs and infant brothers Donald and Floyd.

A memorial service will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday at
4:00 PM with Rev. Richard B. Cartwright officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4:00 PM.
