Madeline Price, 84, of Grampian died on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the Penn Highlands DuBois, DuBois.
She was born on September 30, 1934 in Woodland, a daughter of the late Morris and Sarah (Dixon) Maines.
Mrs. Price enjoyed volunteer work and helping others. She was instrumental in helping out with organizations that her family members were involved with. Most all of, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Madeline worked at McGregor Sportswear for many years, and then worked at the Riverside Market in the deli until retirement.
She was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Curwensville.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Price of Grampian; five children, Sharon Weisgarber and husband John of Curwensville, Rhoda M. Anderson and husband Jack of Curwensville, Randell M. Hess of Grampian, Craig S. Hess and wife Connie of Clearfield, and Edmund L. Hess and partner Royce Miller of Hong Kong, China; seven grandchildren, Melissa Bloom, Daniel Hess, Justin Aughenbaugh, Courtney Hess, Brittney Hess, Sharon Anderson, and Tory Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Shae Bloom, Cross Bloom, Andrew A. Wassil, Mason Anderson, Savannah Anderson, and Phoenix; two sisters, Martha Kougher of KY, and Evelyn Saudarg of Hyde; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, John Hess and numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville on Monday at 11 AM with Father Stephen L. Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 9-11 AM.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.
