Mae Cowder

December 16, 1925 — January 14, 2007

Mae L. Cowder, 81, of Clearfield died on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on December 16, 1925 in Snow Shoe, a daughter of the late Howard and Maude (Stout) McCloskey.

Mrs. Cowder was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield and the Goshen Ladies Aid.

She is survived by five sons, Wade I. Cowder and wife Janet, Lonnie Cowder and wife Jan, Lorrain Cowder, Danny Cowder and wife Melinda and Brian Cowder, all of Clearfield; 12 grandchildren, Ryan Cowder, Jamie Cowder, Melissa Taylor, Dina Bickel, Robert Cowder, Emmy Barnum, Jay Cowder, Justin Cowder, Leann Cowder, Matthew Cowder, Alicia Cowder and Colin Cowder; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph McCloskey and wife Marge of Snow Shoe; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wade A. Cowder on April 11, 1987 and whom she married November 27, 1942 in Snow Shoe, brothers, Albert, Pete, Glenn, Cord and Harris McCloskey and sisters, Dorothy Park and Grace Billotte.

Funeral services will be held at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Karthaus.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday from 6-9:00 PM and on Wednesday at the church from 10-11:00 AM.
